Job Description


Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Planning


  • Collaborate with the Managing Director & General Manager to develop and implement short-term and long-term business plans.
  • Adapt the business plan to account for changes in client requirements, market conditions, and evolving technologies.
  • Monitor performance against strategic goals and adjust plans as necessary.
Budgeting & Financial Control
  • Manage and control the approved annual budget, finding opportunities to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency.
  • Track and report on the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the Ahmedabad facility.
  • Provide quarterly forecasts based on new business wins and ongoing studies.
Supply Chain Design & Client Engagement
  • Collaborate with Clinical Supplies, Operations, Procurement, and other teams to assess clinical protocols and design efficient supply chain solutions for clinical trials.
  • Provide data and technical input to support proposal development for new client projects.
  • Participate in client meetings, bid support, and teleconferences as needed to finalize logistics requirements.
Vendor & Procurement Management
  • Coordinate procurement functions, including vendor identification, QA audits, price negotiations, and contracts for domestic and international shipping services.
  • Ensure all vendors are on the approved vendor list and meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate in negotiating contracts with couriers and complete contracts based on project needs.
Operational Excellence & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure compliance with quality metrics, GMP standards, and company goals.
  • Lead investigations into internal non-conformances and support others in resolving quality issues.
  • Maintain a skilled and knowledgeable labor force to support supply chain operations.
  • Support the development, review, and implementation of departmental SOPs.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Review warehousing and distribution budgets for all ongoing studies and ensure sufficient financial approval.
  • Track study-specific budgets and provide monthly reports to the Finance department for revenue recognition and invoicing.
Regulatory & Compliance Support
  • Work closely with the regulatory team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Support the development of new business verticals and work on regulatory compliance for future initiatives.
