The Head of Marketing for IN Amazon Music will be responsible for developing the overall marketing strategy, messaging, positioning, and marketing activities for Amazon Music India’s services and offerings. You will have the opportunity to shape and develop the brand and positioning for this growing suite of products and drive the future vision of how we bring new capabilities to the music industry. You will work closely with our core customer segments to develop messaging and marketing plans that drive a shift in perception and sustained awareness and adoption of our product. You will have the opportunity to think big, and the role requires that you are not only comfortable with ambiguity, but you thrive in it.
This is a highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership across functions including Product, Industry Relations, Programming, Licensing and other cross-Amazon teams. It requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written. This role requires an analytical marketer with a strong sense for methods to align our music offerings to consumer objectives, which constantly adjust based on industry trends and feedback from customers. As an owner, you will not only define the marketing strategy, you will also need to be strong in execution of promotional campaigns.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead a team of marketing managers, strategists, and channel specialists and deliver on brand, positioning and product GTM outcomes
• Develop long term brand vision and marketing strategies to drive awareness and adoption for a portfolio of music product offerings and services
• Create compelling creatives and other marketing collateral to drive adoption and comprehension of Amazon Music’s product
• Guide the prioritization, development and implementation of case studies and research to communicate the benefits of the Amazon Ads product portfolio

- Experience managing teams
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- 15+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience in managing identities, growth of brands, development of digital channels and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience in traditional and emerging media channels including TV, OOH, cinema, digital display, online video and paid social
- Experience analyzing data quantitatively and using customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions, identifying opportunities, and assessing the efficacy of marketing programs
- Experience defining marketing strategy and executional excellence
