The Head of Learning will lead the new Learning & Development delivery team that supports Weir’s strategic objectives, including leading the end-to-end global learning delivery function. This function will provide professional, innovative, value-added learning solutions and services to Weir.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of Learning Delivery function, managing change and stakeholders to ensure the adoption and on-going success of the learning team.
Motivate and inspire global L&D colleagues to deliver exceptional employee experience.
Working with learning subject matter experts and the Hire to Retire Global Process Owner, ensure delivery of end-to-end process mapping, and transition of learning services (i.e. fit-gap analysis, change impacts assessment, knowledge transfer/ training on new processes).
Manage governance structures, performance metrics and continuous improvement mechanisms that demonstrate the impact of learning on the business.
Develop the specialist skills and capabilities required for the learning function, providing guidance, coaching and training to enable learning professionals to excel within the new framework.
Regularly assess and refine the operating model based on feedback, insights and emerging trends in learning & development
Lead and coach a Learning Delivery team that delivers high quality learning & development services to the business and is recognised for its expertise and capability.
Work closely with the Centre of Expertise and business partnering teams in translating strategy into delivery plans.
Work closely with outsourced partners who deliver L&D administration and other learning services as required.
Develop L&D expertise and capability that would be typical of a global manufacturing business.
Manage L&D budgets and vendors ensuring value-for-money and appropriate budget allocation.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Proven experience in leading and transforming a global learning and development functions model within a Global Business Services environment would be highly desirable.
Significant experience in all aspects of learning and development.
Highly skilled leader in leading and developing cross-functional, diverse teams and manage complex projects from inception to completion.
Proficiency in learning management systems and learning technologies that are key to a modern, agile learning function.
Experience of managing a learning service/operation; governance; service level reporting; vendor management; quality assurance; continuous improvement.
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence and inspire others at all levels of the company.
