HR Partnership & Delivery (HRP&D) sits at the center of Citi’s HR business solutions, aiming to provide a seamless manager and employee experience, through best-in-class services, trusted advice, guidance, and coaching, leveraging technology and process simplification, enabling the business to achieve strategic priorities.
The Head of HR Delivery is responsible for leading a global team of HR Delivery & Operations Support Partners (600+ colleagues) to provide world-class HR services in support of our firm’s current and former employees and HR professionals. This senior leader collaborates closely with cross functional partners to design, streamline, and optimize HR services and processes globally. The Head of HR Delivery also creates a seamless and impactful employee experience, ensuring that HR systems, processes and resources are aligned with the firm’s strategic goals and growth. This role demands deep expertise in HR best practices, operational excellence, and a collaborative approach to continuously enhance efficiency and support the evolving needs of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide global leadership on a broad range of HR services and processes supporting the employee life cycle activities, this includes workplace support to managers at the VP level and below on performance management, coaching/counseling, reductions in force, concerns investigative support, etc.; HR Connect and Inquiry management, Discipline Delivery, Onboarding & Offboarding Services, and CORE HR services.
- Provide strategic leadership by articulating HR solutions and plans to address stakeholders’ needs. Partner with business managers, Senior HR Leaders, HR Legal & Policy partners to deliver consistent service standards.
- Monitor, measure and track efficiency and productivity to identify simplification and process improvement opportunities.
- In close partnership with the HRP&D Process Design and Reengineering team, utilize data to refine operational processes, implement scalable, cost-effective solutions to enhance the employee experience, while focusing on building consistent infrastructure, increasing automation, and leveraging technology to streamline operations.
- Ensure efficient adherence to the global operating model and process standardization, by ensuring compliance with local HR regulations in all geographies where Citi operates.
- Full management responsibility for multiple global teams, including management and development of leadership team, budget, and resources’ planning strategy to support the ongoing success and adoption of the HRP&D model.
- Build (Foster) and maintain positive relationships with HR leaders across the organization; serves as a high-level interface between our internal stakeholders and partners to ensure an effective definition of the HR Delivery model.
- Strong focus on Risk and Control, including proactive identification and mitigation of risks, which may impact solutions/service delivery.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation. Safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
- The role is also responsible for effectively supervising the activity of others, creating an environment of accountability among the entire HR Delivery organization.
Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership experience, driving multiple major geographies and / or global initiatives, leading senior staff and large global organizations.
- Solid operational experience, leading global processes, with proven ability to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Strong experience on transformation / change management in a multi country / cultural environment, including process re-engineering and end-to-end processes simplification.
- Track record of implementing best in class operational practices and enhancing the user experience.
- Deep understanding of HR processes in large multi-national financial institution is desirable.
- Strong communication skills at all levels (written and verbal).
- Superior Risk and Controls mindset and track record managing these matters.
- Strong ability to influence at senior levels and effect change in a large, diverse, multicultural organization; remove silos, and proactively build relationships with key stakeholders with differing perspectives.
- Demonstrated success in managing large, complex, budgets/financials.
- Ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent along with a passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Ability to articulate and consistently communicate a forward-looking vision.
Education
- Bachelor's degree/University degree on a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
