JOB TITLE: HEAD OF GLOBAL IT SERVICES KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pivotal leadership role within the IT department, responsible for overseeing the end user support, application managed services, and infrastructure managed services for our Global IT Services.
Critical in ensuring that IT services are delivered efficiently and effectively, aligning with the business objectives of the organization.
Provide expert strategic and technical direction and leadership across all Global IT application and infrastructure operations. Set technical standards and best practices to drive operational excellence and innovation.
Oversee the daily operations of end user support, application management, and infrastructure services to ensure high performance and service availability.
Act as the primary deputy to the CIO, with authority to make strategic IT decisions impacting enterprise-wide operations. Represent IT leadership at board-level meetings, advocating for technology strategies that drive business innovation.
Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team and board, shaping technology decisions that impact the organization’s long-term success. Build and lead cross-functional coalitions to integrate IT into all aspects of business operations, driving enterprise-wide value creation.
Develop and implement IT operational strategies that align with the overall business goals, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems. Own the relationship with the Corporate/Enabling functions of Petrofac, ensuring the global applications are meeting their expectations.
Own and execute associated Solution Strategies and roadmaps for enterprise applications supporting the corporate functions and overall Petrofac business.
Lead complex, global IT transformation initiatives, including the integration of IT systems and operations during mergers, acquisitions, and global expansion. Drive business model innovation through strategic technology investments, ensuring scalability and resilience in a rapidly changing environment.
Develop fit for purpose sourcing strategies that align with the Global IT Services Operating model focusing on customer service and cost optimisation. Lead negotiations with vendors to ensure contracts are fit for purpose for operating model of Petrofac.
Own and manage all Global IT related contracts including application, infrastructure, managed services, software licensing agreements ensuring contracts meet the company's needs and are executed effectively.
Implement and monitor standards around scope management, financial management, service level agreements (SLA), ensure compliance to mitigate risk, increase service/business Impact & reduce costs.
Accountable for the Service Management framework for IT. Define, deliver, monitor and improve the delivery of IT services using a mix of in-house and outsourced solutions.
Evaluate different IT delivery models to optimize cost and drive efficiencies in IT’s ways of working. Ensure cost transparency for the provision of all IT services enabling critical recharging models.
Technology Upgrades and Implementations like oversee the assessment and deployment of new technologies and systems to enhance operations.
Own the operational management framework including standard processes and procedures that all IT teams need to adhere to. Ensure standardisation across the different IT teams collaborating with IT teams to ensure the framework is fit for purpose.
Lead the IT operational response to incidents and outages, minimizing impact on business activities and customer services.
Lead a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and professional growth. Building a strong technical culture around our global systems that emphasizes technical excellence, rapid iteration, strong security, and frictionless user experiences.
Develop and manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost transparency to the business, cost-effectiveness and proper allocation of resources. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across IT operations. Evaluate and optimize spending on technology and services to ensure cost efficiency.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT operations to continually assess the effectiveness of the IT service delivery.
Ensure IT operations comply with relevant regulations and standards. Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect organizational data.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Extensive IT Leadership: Minimum 15 years of experience in IT management with a focus on technical application and infrastructure leadership and operational excellence.
Minimum 15+ years in a senior leadership position leading large multi-cultural global teams.
Extensive experience sourcing and managing large IT contracts including Oracle and Microsoft agreements ensuring organisations extract value from the strategic partnerships.
Extensive experience with IT outsourcing and various delivery models including managed services, cloud-based solutions, and on-premises.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of staff and management.
Deep understanding of current IT trends and best practices in IT operations (application, infrastructure/cloud, networking) and security.
