Job Title – Head of Engineering - Airport LogisticsLocation: Noida, IndiaOrganization / Department: SLIPLPosition: Full- timeLooking for challenging and future-oriented role? If you really want to make a difference - make it with us!Your new role – challenging and future-oriented ·Head of engineering shall plan and direct all aspects of engineering activities for projects in close alignment with Global Head of engineering and Project Management ·Ensuring that all engineering projects, initiatives, tools and processes are in conformity with the organization’s established policies and objectives.·To adopt best practices in engineering, methods to provide expert technical guidance to engineering, procurement and PM team·Organize and manage engineering of projects, making detailed plans that work towards the fulfillment of a set objectives within the defined timelines.·Guiding the team for the software development of the project and timely assessment.·Guiding the team for proper selection of Components as: PLC’s, Switchgear components, Cables etc.·Guiding the team with regards to the standards to be followed as per the design requirements in the project.·Interacting with customers for getting the design approval. And being responsible for the design and software development for the complete life cycle of the project including DLP·Responsible for Emulation and Simulation requirements in the projects.·Providing timely BOQ to the procurement team.·Support the bidding team with the technical offer and BOQ.·Making technical presentation to the customer during bid evaluation and also during the execution phase.·Good communication, presentation and organizational skills·Good problem solving, logic and reasoning skills to be able to identify weaknesses and strengths of alternative solutions or approaches to problems.·All functions related to safety and testing of all equipment used in projects.·Planning and providing training and technical leadership to appropriate personnel regarding design, selection of equipment and equipment standards sound knowledge of Indian and international standards.·Setup process for the change management in Engineering which are in complete alignment with the global engineering plan.·Responsible for recruiting qualified employees to whom they assign and designate tasks.·Monitoring the performance of teams through KPI’s and working for continuous improvement in competence and productivity of resources·Engaging with other Siemens entities and getting work assignments for the team Utilization forecast & Budgeting for the engineering resources.·Presenting the weekly / monthly status reports to local management and also to the global engineering headWe don’t need superheroes, just super minds.·You have degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics from reputed engineering institute preferably. ·You are Certified "Senior Project Manager" (SPM)·Minimum experience of 20 years in Engineering & should have a successfully executed engineering for large projects.·Experience of leading a team’s comprising of more than 30 plus design engineers- electrical, mechanical, automation and preferably IT as well. International cross culture experience – working with design teams and project teams in other countries.·Should have experience of working with different partners and also across different cultures.We’ve got quite a lot to offer.
