Amazon is looking for a motivated individual for head of Amazon Freight in India. Amazon Freight aims to develop reliable and transparent line haul transportation services that beat all existing shipping alternatives for our customers. Amazon Freight currently offers FTL services to shippers. To help us succeed in this large endeavour, we are looking for dynamic, self-starting and entrepreneurial individual who will have end to end ownership of Amazon Freight. You will lead the complete P&L for Amazon Freight. Key metrics will include Revenue, Profitability, Customer Acquisition and Operational performance. You will have a team of Sales, Program, Collections, Marketing and Operations reporting into you. You will work closely with internal stakeholders including Fulfilment Centres, S&OP, Finance, Product & Technology and external stakeholders like customers and carriers. Individuals with prior experience in surface freight would be preferred.

Key job responsibilities
1. Define, design, launch and manage new products and programs for improving customer / shipper experience
2. Own long term planning (OP1/OP2) of program.
3. Collaborate with Tech/Product team to co-own the product roadmap.
4. Lead, develop and execute sales strategy
5. Monitor key program metrics and work with stakeholder teams to drive necessary actions.
6. Manage Daily/weekly performance, build mechanisms to detect and drive down defects and work on continuous improvements.
7. Own industry benchmarking, do customer studies and work with sales team to understand the requirements of our prospective customers and work on building these capabilities.
This role will require exceptional communication and influencing skills, and will work to influence stakeholders across customers, Business, Operations, Sales and Tech teams. This role will require the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, startup environment, partnering with others as needed, and the ability to exercise sound judgment solving novel problems without clear direction from leadership. The successful candidate has demonstrated the ability to solve complex logistics challenges and possesses bias for action and deliver results in the role.

- 10+ years of team management experience
- Experience in express e-commerce or line haul
- Understanding of transportation landscape and sales cycle of various customer types
- Managing deals from negotiations to delivery
- Experience in influencing C-level executives
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
