  • Availability of machines, equipment, and services
    • Attend to any equipment breakdowns, minimizing the downtime and ensuring that the machines and equipment are up and running as quickly as possible.
    • Organize critical spares and study equipment with frequent breakdowns. Carefully analyse the machines and equipment that experience frequent breakdowns to identify the root causes. Based findings, suggest appropriate remedies to address the issues and reduce the occurrence of breakdowns.
    • Modify and develop machines for higher efficiency. Continuously evaluate the machines and equipment to identify opportunities for improvement. Propose modifications and developments to enhance their efficiency, ensuring that they operate at optimal levels.
    • Manage change control for all machines, equipment, and services: Implement a comprehensive change control process to minimize downtime. This includes carefully planning and coordinating any changes made to machines, equipment, or services, ensuring that they are executed efficiently and do not disrupt the production schedule.
  • Preventive maintenance
    • To ensure the efficient functioning of machines and equipment with minimal breakdowns, a comprehensive plan for preventive maintenance will be developed and executed. This involves the following steps:
    • Establish a preventive maintenance schedule: prepare a preventive maintenance planner, specifying the maintenance activities required for each machine and equipment. This schedule will outline the frequency and scope of maintenance tasks based on the manufacturer's recommendations, industry best practices, and specific requirements of Sanofi Goa Site.
    • Plan maintenance activities: Each maintenance task will be planned, considering factors such as production schedules, machine availability, and resource allocation. This planning phase ensures that maintenance activities are scheduled at optimal times to minimize disruption to production and maximize equipment uptime.
    • Execute preventive maintenance: The planned maintenance activities will be carried out according to the predetermined schedule. This may include tasks such as equipment inspection, cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and component replacements. Trained technicians will follow standardized procedures to perform these activities accurately and safely.
    • Monitor and document maintenance activities: Throughout the preventive maintenance process, the performance and condition of machines and equipment will be monitored and documented. Any issues or anomalies identified during the maintenance activities will be addressed promptly to prevent potential breakdowns or malfunctions.
  • Validation & Qualification
    • Validate machines, equipment, and building management systems to maintain compliance with Statutory and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements, also preparation of comprehensive documentation to demonstrate their validated status, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
    • Participating in Equipment and Facility Qualification.
  • Projects
    • To ensure safe working conditions for the project, prioritize the provision of sufficient resources. This includes allocating appropriate manpower, equipment, materials, and infrastructure to support the project's objectives while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
  • QMS      &  HSE
    • Initiation & closure of Change control in Qualipso
    • CAPA closure in Qualipso•
    • Preparation of Preventive maintenance planner in document management system
    • Preparation & approval of Design, Installation & operational Qualification Protocol & report in document management system.\
  • Miscellaneous activities            
    • Ensuring implantation of LOTO procedure during changeover, corrective maintenance, or preventive maintenance or during other required activities.
    • Ensuring availability of Safety permit as per the site procedure. 
    • Adherence to all health safety & environmental aspects as required by company policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that the implementation of HSE systems, safe working conditions and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Conducting daily training in the +QDCI meeting address any unsafe condition.
    • Take suggestion from associates to improve the work conditions with great safety and zero risk.
    • Periodic review of the implemented procedures and evaluation of the same.
    • Train people on safety and their job to ensure zero LTI and IWLT at workplace.\Empowered to stop if any unsafe operation or if
  • Compliance
    • Sanofi Mandatory training before due date.
    • Adherence to Factory rules with respect to Health, Safety, environment, Labour  laws.

Need To Know Knowledge, Skills & Competencies / Language


  • Minimum 5 Years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Sound technical knowledge of Tabletting, Packaging, Granulations, Coaters, Capsuling Machines etc.
  • Well versed with SAP Athena System
  • Coordination with cross functional department.
  • Believes and lives in company values
  • Basic knowledge of Computer
  • Inter-personal skills.
  • Basic Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA system.
  • English Language

Qualifications : Bachelor/Diploma of Engineering in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics or Equivalent
