Intel India Customer Success Engineering Team is in a mission to create successful ODMs from India across their Indian customer base. In order to support this mission, the team is looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer with Power delivery design, digital design and debug experience to help Intel customers to design and debug their Hardware platforms based on Intel Core/Atom CPUs.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field, with 5 to 7 years of industry experience (preferably with 3-4 years of experience of designing and debugging HW boards using Intel Core/Atom CPUs)
- Experience in understanding system requirements and converting those to Hardware requirements. Should be familiar with available Intel Core/Atom processor capabilities to derive Hardware Architecture based on System/HW requirements
- Experience in schematic capture using industry standard tools like Cadance OrCAD, Mentor Graphics xPedition etc. Should also be able to review schematics incl digital and analog circuits
- Experience in understanding stack-up (8 to 16 layers), layout guidelines for High-speed interfaces like DDR4/DDR5/LPDDR4/LPDDR5/PCIe/USB/SATA and Video interfaces and should be capable to review board file
- Should have good understanding about Power Delivery design, Power budgeting, Clocking, Signal Integrity practices, Power Integrity practices, Timing analysis etc. Should also be familiar with performing SI/PI simulation using Industry standard tools from Cadance, Mentor Graphics etc
- Should have good understanding on board manufacturing guidelines and also DFM/DFT practices
- Working experience on board power on and debugging, especially Intel processor-based platform debugging, with Lab debug tools such as multimeter, CRO, Function Generator, I2C programmer etc.
- Should be capable of analysing the debug results to ensure correct functionality, triage failures, and recommend or develop corrective action.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Should be able to assist customer success team with board debug and power-on support with lab tools such as multimeter and CRO
- Should be capable of providing technical support to customer queries
- Should be willing to visit customer locations across India to debug board bring up issues whenever necessary
- Good listening and communication skills
