In this role you’ll make an impact by:

• Take lead on raw material management and collaboration with external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain procedures, systems, and tools to secure continued compliance to global requirements.
• Review Vendor/Manufacturer approval, risk assessment, evaluation and/or audit in conjunction with risk assessment
• Maintain requirements for global approval of raw materials; includes Kosher and Halal and other certification needs.
• Plan yearly vendor lifecycle management audit schedule and follow up on audit completion.
• Subject matter expert on defined areas within raw material/vendor area 
• Track supplier performance and quality of materials delivered.
• Evaluate the material performance under operational conditions to ensure it meets production requirements (typically Process Engineering/Process Management resp.)
• Provide onboarding training regarding the company’s expectations, quality control processes, and communication protocols.
• Establish KPIs to track supplier performance regularly
• Foster transparent and continuous communication with suppliers.
• Implement a scorecard system to track supplier performance and share results in a constructive manner to highlight strengths and address areas for improvement. (part of global supplier management program and not particular for this one position)
• Organize workshops or training sessions for suppliers to help them meet evolving regulatory or quality requirements.

To succeed you must hold:

• MSc in Life science/Microbiology/Biotechnology
• Minimum 12 years’ experience in food, pharmaceutical industries
• Working knowledge/Expert knowledge of HACCP, manufacturing processes, production technology, products, raw materials and quality and food safety issues, local and global Food Safety legislation and regulations
• Effective communication skills
