Missions Statement: This job opportunity is for a solution architect – SAP GTS with-in Global Trade & Transportation (GTT) stream of Hitachi Energy SAP CoE. This position will report to lead solution architect – GTT and work closely with Global Trade Management, and cross functional teams to manage deployment & delivery of solutions targeting global trade. This role will require you to work in a team consisting of Hitachi SAP CoE as well as external consultants. This role requires expertise in solution implementation & support in SAP – Global Trade & Services and understanding of GTS Edition 4 HANA. Your Responsibilities: Manage solution architecture analysis, design, propose and deployment of solutions related to global trade with end-to-end business process owner in Hitachi SAP ecosystem & integration with other key applications. Support business process lead on process design as well as understanding of the as-is situation and responsible to propose the best design for the target integrated S/4 ecosystem. Manage solution deployment specific risks, actions, issues, decisions including risk mitigation while closely working with support teams, product owners, peer architects and business stakeholders. Challenge business on status-quo by proposing state of the art digital solutions including automation improvements and thrive to bring process and system simplification, harmonization, efficiency and automation to the organization. Transpose business requirement into SAP functional- and technical specifications and be responsible from design to support to drive the business value. Lead analysis on technical solution alternatives incl. required comparison for Key Design Decisions. Monitor the deliverables of the support team and ensure adherence to the program guidelines. As Global Solution Architect be the mentor and guide for any future deployment and solution change management. Provide strategic guidance to the support teams aligning the solutions with the business objectives and design. Responsible for Solution Documentation incl. Process Design in the central process repository in Solman for any changes and secure governance is in place. Your Background: Master’s Degree in of Engineering in Computer science, International Trade and Trade Compliance or any related discipline Overall 10+ years of experience within Trade, Compliance and Risk area incl. 5+ years as a solution architect encompassing integration to up-stream and down-stream processes with expert experience within SAP GTS. Well-founded and demonstrable experience in SAP GTS incl. design, customization knowledge and WRICEF deployment. Integration experience with external parties like customs authorities, brokers and content providers is an advantage. Proven experience in global trade processes in SAP GTS, and S/4HANA. Proven ability to present GTS concepts to business stakeholders. Leader skills incl. experience in leading and coordinating onsite & offshore teams. Knowledge of main global Customs and Compliance regulations and their pattern related to an Industrial Company requirement. Knowledge of new features embedded in GTS Edition 4 HANA. Comfortable & experienced working in cross cultural teams, regions and countries. Proactiveness in terms of business analysis, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and deployment of the solutions. Proficient in debugging ABAP related code and integrations. Practical experience in applying at least one Architectural Framework, preferred TOGAF but also Zachman or others welcome. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
