Job Summary:
Rubrik is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Quote Desk Manager to join our team in Bangalore, India and build out this new function within Sales Operations. In this role you will be responsible for building the Sales Quote Desk team from scratch and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the creation of sales quotes. This role requires extensive experience with Salesforce.com, CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solutions, and proven people management skills. This role reports to the Director of Sales Process and Systems who is located at Rubrik HQ in Palo Alto California.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Quote Desk Team Management: In this role you will be responsible for building this new function within the Sales Operations team located in our Bangalore, India office. As the team manager you will provide guidance, training, and support to your team to ensure high performance and professional development.
Quote Creation and Management: Oversee the creation of standard sales quotes for the global Rubrik sales team, ensuring accuracy, and timely delivery within established SLAs.
Systems and Tools: Utilize Salesforce.com and CPQ to streamline the quote creation processes within your team, improve efficiency, and maintain accurate records. Continuously capture feedback from your team/sales and work with the internal CPQ, and IT teams to optimize and enhance these tools.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and work cross-functionally to implement solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales quoting process. Seek to leverage artificial intelligence functionality wherever possible within Rubrik’s AI governance policies.
Customer Focus: Serve as the team lead and primary point of contact for Rubrik sales teams regarding standard sales quotes. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction across your team by providing prompt and accurate responses to inquiries.
Reporting and Analytics: Generate and analyze reports/dashboards on quote activity, performance metrics, and team productivity. Use data to identify trends, forecast demand, and support strategic decision-making. Proactively share these results with sales/sales ops leadership on a quarterly basis and seek their feedback.
Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and industry best practices in all quote-related activities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technological advancements such as generative AI.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of people manager experience in a sales operations, sales support role, or deal desk within a high technology or software company.
- Proven experience in building a team from scratch and leading a team of 8-10 people. Strong people management skills required.
- 5+ years of Salesforce.com and CPQ experience is required.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across the business.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
