Department: Medical Excellence, Global Medical Affairs, Bangalore (GMA-BLR)
The primary role of this position is to be responsible for timely planning and proper execution of projects based on identified and agreed needs, to fulfil objectives on departmental and/or project level(s).
The position
Project management:
- Project management support for the Medical Affairs team and GMA-BLR deliverables.
- Defines project scope, goals to be reached, expected deliverables, stakeholder mapping, estimated cost and timeline for medium complexity
- Develops detailed project plan incl. project metrics.
- Engages with vendors, challenges content and proposed costs and secures involvement of Corporate Sourcing when required
- Identifies risks and mitigation actions in the process of execution
Internal and external stakeholder management:
- Identifies and maps key stakeholders and makes the most of the information available to understand their needs.
- Communicates timely and via relevant channels to ensure continued high buy-in and motivation from key stakeholders.
- Recognizes areas of mutual interest, proposes solutions and makes clear considerations for how to strengthen relationships with stakeholders. Knows and correctly uses available communication channels to deal with stakeholders.
Affiliate communication and cross-functional cooperation:
- Understands all functional deliverables & interaction processes needed to ensure a successful annual strategy and planning process.
- Understands organizational set-up of respective countries and establishes structured contact to local stakeholders.
- Communication internally: coordination with Medical/Legal teams in affiliates when needed to support GMA-BLR’s activities.

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who can nod their head at the following attributes:
- Master degree or equivalent in relevant area.
- Has 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Affiliate (back office and/or field) experience preferred.

Global Medical Affairs, GBS (GMA GBS) is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs team in Headquarters (HQ) in Denmark and Zurich, is based out of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. The team consists of highly motivated medical/scientific advisors, medical illustrators, project managers and publication managers working together with HQ, regions and affiliates across the world. The Rare Disease-Global Medical Affairs department at Novo Nordisk is dedicated to driving advancements in the treatment of rare diseases. We work closely with affiliates, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and implementation of medical strategies.
