Overview This role is responsible for the procurement function of HBS - Indirect Materials & Services (IT and non-IT Indirect categories), including Strategizing the procurement strategy, supplier development, contract negotiations, achieving cost reductions targets, effective internal auditing processes, supplier management and knowledge of systems and continuous improvement initiatives. The Indirect Materials Procurement Manager (1) Defines and executes the different material & supplier strategies: Risk Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Innovation and Productivity. (2) Measuring and Improving Performance. (3) and Achieving Annual Plans and Delivering Productivity for all the Indirect Materials & Services. Responsibilities Lead the procurement of HBS, incl. procurement strategy, supplier development / relationship and ensure execution Manage buying process for Indirect Materials & Services (IT and non-IT Indirect categories) ensuring continuous supply and service at the best possible acquisition cost. Drive productivity targets of the HBS and help sectors to achieve their targets. Define and execute category strategies, contract management and supplier relationship management, measuring and improving performance, and achieving annual plans and productivity goals Plan to meet business objectives as set in the AOP and prepare the annual spending budget in cooperation with the planning team, finance, marketing, HR and other departments for materials, services and Capex Lead & support supplier negotiations to ensure cost effective and smooth flow of all materials and services Analyze spend within categories to enable informed decision-making and ensure sourcing efforts leverage market intelligence, TCO analysis and modern negotiation methods such as e-Sourcing Continuously identify and qualify new sources and suppliers to ensure competitive environment between suppliers. Monitor suppliers’ performance and communicate KPI’s to management and suppliers. Gather continuous feedback from stakeholders on service suppliers to assess performance Perform risk management for supplier contracts and agreements and prepare Business Continuity Plan for key materials & services Perform financial risk assessment of suppliers Monitor supplier delivery performance, quality, variance to budget and cost improvement project Develops multiple sources for each item needed and encourages price bidding among vendors to achieve lowest price Incorporates product quality specifications into purchase orders to maintain high quality standards Enforces procedures to ensure proper recording and tracking of all Indirect materials & services purchased by the company Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids Follow up on customs and clearing procedures process and ensure that it is according to policies and procedures. Support the company cash flow by improving/monitoring supplier payment terms and keeping control of the DII as per the plan. Support & lead G&A cost reduction activities for the company Act as a leader (manage team of 2-3), including recruiting, developing, and retaining a highly skilled and engaged workforce capable of delivering excellent results Stakeholder management – Very key for this role. The person requires to deal with Leadership of HBS and also senior leadership of GP Qualifications Bachelor's degree In Business or Engineering 10 to 12 years’ experience in Indirect Spend procurement with IT, Consultants, Contractors and Events categories experience an advantage Strong communication skills in English Solid understanding of purchasing and supplier management principles Experience of working in Multi-National Company.
