About the department


The Strategic Diabetes Commercial Communications role is part of the Commercial, Global Business Services (GBS) unit at Novo Nordisk. The Commercial GBS – Global Business Services (GBS) unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas within Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs, including Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning and Commercial Operations. In the Diabetes Therapeutic Area, we are a passionate team helping millions of people with diabetes achieve better health outcomes through innovative medicines and solutions. We drive and execute projects across a strong portfolio comprising of both launch and life-cycle management brand.
 


The Position       


The Global Marketing Lead will primarily be responsible for developing patient strategy and all relevant tools during the launch preparations of IcoSema. Additionally, this position will support key brand strategy projects. The Global Marketing Lead will work closely with and under the guidance of the VP IcoSema Marketing.


  • Pharma brand management experience, with strategic and analytical mindset and strong strategy execution skills, including experience leading the development of marketing materials.
  • Leading patient strategy and creating all relevant tools and campaign for IcoSema and supporting and leading strategic brand strategy projects.
  • Support insights generation and analytics to identify areas of opportunity for IcoSema launch and business growth and drive coordination and execution of pre-launch and launch activities in close collaboration with the wider commercial team.
  • Effective collaboration skills within the team and across the organisation (Global, Regions, and affiliates) to ensure broad alignment and navigate the organisation efficiently.
  • Supports development of effective and compliant global marketing and training materials for IcoSema and support insights generation and analytics to identify areas of opportunity for IcoSema launch and business growth.

Qualifications


  • Life Sciences, business or Marketing graduate or equivalent.
  • Advanced Marketing/Business qualification desirable.
  • Diploma in Market Research advantageous.
  • Has 10+ years of relevant work experience within pharmaceutical marketing/brand strategy/sales.
  • Brand management experience, ideally at both global and local levels.
  • Local and ideally global launch experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to set vision and execute on plans.
  • Proven project management skills and project ownership experience.
  • Experience in driving and handling global market research projects, agency management and insights generation.
