The Global Head of Consumer Industries is responsible for leading SAP’s industry portfolio across Retail, Fashion, Wholesale, and Consumer Products. This executive role spans product management, engineering, and architecture while fostering deep collaboration across UX, Cloud Operations, Security, Marketing, Go-to-Market, Services, and Support. The ideal candidate will drive modernization, velocity, and innovation to ensure strong market traction and customer adoption.
 
This leader will define and execute the product vision and strategy, ensuring SAP remains at the forefront of industry innovation. They will anticipate market trends, align product roadmaps with customer needs, and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver industry-leading solutions that create meaningful business impact.
 
What you'll do

• Product & Engineering Leadership: Oversee product management, engineering, and architecture, driving a clear product vision and strategy. Ensure alignment with market trends and customer needs while leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services, adhering to Technology Guidelines, security, and compliance best practices, and maintaining cloud fundamentals for innovation and operational excellence.
• Customer & Market Engagement: Work directly with enterprise customers to understand their evolving needs in Retail, Fashion, Wholesale, and Consumer Products, ensuring the portfolio delivers strong business value.
• Ecosystem & ISV Partnerships: Develop and expand SAP’s ecosystem of strategic ISVs, technology partners, and system integrators to strengthen industry solutions, drive innovation, and accelerate adoption.
• Cloud Modernization & AI Innovation: Lead the transformation towards cloud-native, AI-powered solutions, enabling seamless integrations with SAP’s broader Customer Experience (CX) and ERP portfolio.
• Go-to-Market Execution: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to drive product adoption, refine messaging, and ensure commercial success across industries.
• Operational Excellence: Optimize execution processes to improve time-to-market, scalability, and reliability of solutions, ensuring alignment with key business KPIs.
• Global Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead high-performing global teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and execution excellence.

What you bring

• Proven track record of leading global product and engineering organizations in enterprise software, SaaS, or cloud-based industry solutions.
• Deep industry expertise in Retail, Fashion, Wholesale, and Consumer Products, with an understanding of key challenges, trends, and opportunities in these sectors.
• Strong technical acumen in cloud architectures, AI-driven solutions, and large-scale enterprise platforms.
• Experience building and nurturing ISV and partner ecosystems to drive innovation and market expansion.
• Ability to balance strategy and execution, ensuring rapid innovation while maintaining enterprise-grade reliability and scalability.
• Exceptional communication and executive presence, capable of engaging C-level executives, partners, analysts, and industry influencers.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across product, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success organizations.
