The position


The role aims to support Novo Nordisk's ambition to lead in cardiovascular disease (CVD) as part of the Global CVD Portfolio Team to develop and execute the Enterprise Cardiology Strategy and projects focused on increasing Organizational Readiness in CVD.


Key Responsibilities: The role involves insights generation, strategy and tactics development, project management and execution, stakeholder management, and communication across the top 10 global focus markets.
Main Job Tasks: Main tasks include driving the Enterprise Cardiology strategy, initiating and executing large-scale projects, optimizing processes, developing risk mitigation actions, and sharing results with stakeholders.


Monitor execution of Enterprise Cardiology Strategy and assess key gaps to address, working closely with stakeholders across functions and markets. Ensure up-to-date enterprise overview of Cardiology healthcare ecosystem, key unmet needs, and clear NN value propositions as the CVD portfolio evolves.


  • Monitor competitive landscape and understand technology advancements.


  • Generate insights, identify needs for, and drive Primary and Secondary market research.


  • Evaluate internal readiness across the organization for CVD launch, working together with partnering functions such as Medical Affairs and Access.


  • Identify readiness gap areas that need to be addressed. Execute towards our ambition for organizational readiness.


Independence and Decision-Making: The role requires a high level of independence and initiative, with medium-level decision-making involving coordination with internal and external stakeholders.


Communication and Stakeholder Interaction: Key internal stakeholders include other areas in CETA Commercial, Global Medical Affairs, Global Public Affairs, Procurement, and project teams. The role involves engaging these stakeholders to secure input, buy-in, and collaboration.


Innovation and Change: The role demands high innovation to identify best practices and drive improvement, with assignments characterized by high variability and complexity.


Geographic Responsibility: The position has a global reach, requires knowledge of market characteristics across key markets and regions.
 


Qualifications


We realise that few people are experts at everything. But if you can nod your head at the following attributes, then you could be the person we are looking for:


  • Master’s degree or above in relevant area - Preferably tier 1 from B or E schools.  Strong stakeholder management skills and deep understanding of different functions across the value chain.


  • 12-14 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, with specific experience in building Portfolio strategy.


  • Excellent execution in organizational complexity with the ability to raise awareness, drive alignment with internal stakeholders.


  • Strong analytical with both qualitative and quantitative skills and experience. Experience in CVD, HF, or similar therapy area.


  • Experience working with pharmaceutical product or medical device development and marketisation (from R&D, marketing, market access or similar function). Preferably international exposure in a large organization.


  • Working experience in major market or alternatively solid record of collaboration with major markets.

The Commercial – GBS unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Senior Vice President (SVP) areas within Commercial – GBS. This includes Diabetes, Obesity, Rare D, and CETA TA areas.
