BUSINESS CONTEXT:


CloseUp is the world’s No. 1 freshness brand in Oral Care. It pioneered the gel toothpaste format over 50 years ago and has since popularized anti-bacterial efficacy in toothpaste as well as become known for uniquely fresh and exciting flavours. CloseUp is a challenger brand in many markets, leading market development for the freshness segment and injecting fun into what otherwise would be a low-involvement category.


Asst. CMI Manager, Global Closeup is a Global role for Strategic Partnership with the Global CloseUp Team reporting to the Global Oral Care CMI Manager based out of the Philippines (currently vacant) who reports to the CMI Director- Oral Care based out of India.


JOB PURPOSE


You will play a key role in shaping the key Brand trajectory, working with your LM to show the Business key growth opportunities. The role will involve looking at how the brand can stretch in the future to new categories and formats and drive engagement with consumers. It also requires creating and driving winning future-facing and agile innovation tapping into emergent market trends. You will be the voice of consumers for the team working closely on the market research projects with the agency and other cross-functional teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES


The core purpose of this role is to support the aggressive growth agenda and show the business where and how to win by championing and being consumer-centric.


  • Being the voice of consumers: Harnessing and being on top of category and brand-related trends.
  • Project Management: Briefing, managing, and landing all Global CloseUp projects. Project planning, brief creation/ brief ownership/ collaboration with agency and internal teams/ landing debrief/ research findings.
  • Driving agility: Leveraging all the tools including the new agile tools and insights at our fingertips/ bringing everything together to land a clear and concise story that ultimately drives business action.
  • Partner: Collaborate with a brand team comprising Brand Directors and brand managers, a global cross-functional team, and the CI community.
  • Manage CMI Budgets for Global CloseUp

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES


At least 3 years of experience in market research across agency and CMI


  • Candidate with a strong background in market research
  • Candidate showing strong strategic rigor with the ability to decipher multiple information sources into a clear succinct story
  • Candidate with strong communication and storytelling skills who can land the point of view with stakeholders.
  • Preference for experience in innovation development
