Role Overview:



Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the Modernization Center of Excellence and provide strategic direction for the team to achieve Modernization Sales excellence and efficiency.


  • Identifying Mod segment needs and designing customer- oriented Modernization solutions


  • Providing input to Mod Engineering team on new product/ package development


  • Oversee the Layout and Estimation team, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of estimates and layouts to support project requirements.


  • Manage the month forecast and develop strategies to meet and exceed forecasted targets, contributing to the overall business objectives.


  • Take charge of major projects estimation, ensuring precision and competitiveness in the bidding process to secure new projects.


  • Drive booking margin management, optimizing margins while maintaining high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.


  • Handle legacy product estimation, ensuring accurate and efficient estimation processes for existing modular products.


  • Coordinate mod solutioning with imported sources in Berlin, China, Spain, and other relevant locations, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication to meet project requirements and timelines.



On a typical day you will:



Monitoring Sales Forecasts and Results: Keep a close eye on sales forecasts and results to ensure alignment with modernization strategies and goals. Analyze trends, identify opportunities, and collaborate with the sales team to optimize modernization sales performance.


Estimation and Layout Requirements: Oversee the estimation and layout process for modernization projects, ensuring accurate and competitive estimates are provided to customers. Collaborate with the estimation team to review and approve estimates, ensuring they align with the company's pricing strategies and profitability targets. Ensure that accurate layouts are being issued to customer on a timely basis


Customer Relationship Management: Collaborate with the sales team for proper tracking of modernization projects using sales estimation and CRM tools


Performance Analysis and Reporting: Conduct regular performance analysis of modernization initiatives, tracking key metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of strategies and identify areas for improvement. Prepare and present reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing modernization operations.


Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape related to modernization services. Use this information to develop strategies that position the company competitively and meet evolving customer needs.


Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the modernization department, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.


MOD Solutioning: Work with modernization Engineering department for solutioning and package development



What You Will Need to be Successful:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Master's degree in Business management


  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the elevator and escalator modernization construction or related industry.


  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve strategic objectives.


  • Expertise in project estimation, forecasting, and margin management, with a track record of successful project outcomes.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.


  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
