Department – Centralized Monitoring

The position


As a Functional Programmer, you will:


  • Understand stakeholder needs on Monitoring reports and prepare specifications.
  • Program new and/or customize existing programs using languages such as SQL/SAS, utilizing data from multiple sources like COSMOS, DMW, and VEEVA.
  • Generate standard and customized reports for various stakeholders, including Projects, Study Groups, and Management.
  • Create ad-hoc reports for specific needs such as AESI, Data Cleaning cycles, and Protocol deviations.
  • Prepare report templates using data models/mock data to ensure timely development.
  • Conduct and/or chair Monitoring report meetings, ensuring clear communication and documentation.
  • Provide inputs to process improvements and training, collaborating across boundaries to enhance site relations.

Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you should have:


Need to have:


  • B.Tech/M.Sc/B.Sc in Life Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 2 years in clinical data management systems.
  • Expert knowledge of computer systems and IT, including validation of computer systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as SAS/SQL and BI tools like PowerBI/Qlik Sense.
  • In-depth knowledge of drug development, GxP, and guidelines within drug development.

Nice to have:


  • Experience with collaboration across professional and regional borders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor.
  • Project management knowledge.
  • Technical skills to identify solutions for data challenges.

About the department


Located within the Centralized Monitoring Unit, our department is dedicated to supporting Risk Based Quality Management (RBQM) across trial portfolios. We focus on generating standard and customized Monitoring reports to meet stakeholder needs. Our team is dynamic and collaborative, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the timely development of reports and continuous process improvements.
