What you’ll do
The Network Deployment Engineer supports the deployment, implementation, integration, commissioning/de-commissioning and acceptance testing of any network components and services (e.g. across Mobile Access, Fixed Access and Access TX / 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) across the network deployment function following the network infrastructure strategy and carries out administration activities. The Network Deployment Engineer conveys a good understanding of established concepts and procedures to deploy and deliver network equipment and services and conduct performance assessments and optimisation.
Typically reports to the Network Deployment Manager.
Job Description
- Create orders and build attributes in workflow within the agreed SLA’s and quality definitions
- Validate Internal / external Customer request against the checklist and Generate Order tracking reference and Update with all customer information in Order tracking tool.
- Enrich digitally received orders in digital tools and record the relevant customer order form, site lists and technical documents in the repository .
- Confirm the solution provided is feasible as per customer requirement using Feasibility tools and working closely with the Feasibility team .
- Create the Customer Location, Devices and Third-Party Network block box, configure the VRFs in L3 NNIs, SDWAN Bearer and Internet Gateway Cramer.
- Build the End-to-End Circuits in Transmission Inventory & generate the Work Action Group for SDH build, Cross connect and Field Engineer activities.
- Model the End-to-End customer circuits from Network site to Customer location, create the technical routing, access and service configuration and generate the circuit references in Cramer for IP build in MSP, SDWAN and Internet Networks.
- Update the circuit references various Inventories and close the respective tasks in workflow system.
Technical and Professional qualifications
- Good understanding of Various Telecom Fixed Line products, Technologies, and Systems.
- Good understanding of SDH, IP and Routing & Switching concepts.
- Basic understanding of financial and non-financial numbers in relation to full profit and loss performance.
- 3yrs of operational experience in a Telecom company with a University degree of full-time qualification .
- Good communication skills , Customer focus and ability to adjust to workload peaks that can occur in an aggressive sales environment.
