Job Description


Who we are looking for 


The team supports FX Sales & Trading teams (eFX and SFX), in-office presence is required.


The Foreign Exchange (FX) Front Office Trading Services (FOTS) team provides support across the globe (North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific) for State Street Global Market’s FX Sales & Trading Desks and acts as the primary liaison for external and internal clients. In addition to trading support and client services, the team works closely with Operations groups and actively engaged in projects related to new trading initiatives, testing and implementation planning.

What you will be responsible for 


As a senior member and a regional lead for Front Office Trading Services you will:


  • Manage escalation and assist SSGM Sales & Trading with trade support and related responsibilities 
  • Oversee and assist in monitoring SSGM’s trading systems and address/resolve issues with appropriate escalations 
  • Lead front office technical Algo, eFX, StreetFX and IndirectFX platform onboarding (Front Office components) and review pricing validations for SSGM’s indirect FX activity 
  • Assist the team in researching and resolving trade related inquiries from Sales and Trading, back office, fund groups, and clients 
  • Lead communication and maintain strong working relationships with multiple departments (Trading, Operations, Finance, IT, third party vendors) to address any issues on a time sensitive basis 
  • Participate/take a lead in various projects that require FOTS expertise, involvement with testing or future support 
  • Understand the intricacies of manual and/or exceptional processes on the FX desk and work with IT, Credit & Compliance, Operations and Business Analysis teams to improve process inefficiencies 
  • Liaise with CSS Client Onboarding team with queries relating to the on-boarding of new business 
  • Lead the team in supporting corporate initiatives including but not limited to tracking of accounts payable for SSGM and maintaining ISRMPs for FX vendor applications
  • Strictly follow the controls and procedures to reduce risk to Business

Education & Preferred Qualifications 


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education qualifications deemed appropriate in local market 
  • 14+ years of experience with supporting eFX or FX Sales & Trading (preferred)
  • 5+ years of managing a cross-regional team (preferred)
  • Strong technical expertise with FIX, Linus/Unix, querying databases using SQL
  • Financial services industry and exposure to foreign exchange is required
  • Knowledge of FX products and trading/execution venues is required 
  • Some Client facing experience is preferred but not required 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship skills 

Additional requirements 


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Very strong attention to detail 
  • Use of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Confluence, Jira, & Bloomberg
