Job Summary: 


As a Business Associate within our front office team, you will serve as a vital resource for client-facing stakeholders. Acting as the liaison between the business, technology, control partners, and operations, your role will include investigating inquiries, monitoring trade execution flows, and reconciling trades. You will need to have a fundamental understanding of our trading platforms and systems. In this fast-paced, high-pressure environment, we expect you to provide and communicate solutions in person, by phone, and by email.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Allocate trades and manage the end-to-end client trade life cycle, including prematching and fails management.
  • Reconcile trading activity completeness sent to the firm's surveillance system.
  • Conduct REG W and RG K checks.
  • Follow up with the tech team to resolve any breaks.
  • Adhere to the governance and reporting framework to report breaks, engaging with MO & Business Control Managers.
  • Perform reconciliation activities between front, middle, and back office systems to maintain a controlled environment.
  • Investigate risk management systems for economic breaks raised by the back office of affiliates.
  • Utilize query management tools to work with settlements, confirmations, and accounting to address related queries/issues.
  • Monitor live reject queues and clear exceptions in a timely manner.
  • Interact with clients via mail and hotline for live client interaction.
  • Collaborate with back and middle office teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring timely settlement.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:


  • Graduate with 4+ years of experience in investment banking operations.
  • Knowledgeable about fixed income products, including cash bonds and repos.
  • Understand the fixed income trade life cycle.
  • Strong awareness of risk and control in the control environment.
  • Familiar with front-to-back operations processes, including confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting, and able to resolve issues across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a sense of ownership, effective prioritization, and deadline management.
  • Excellent team player, adaptable to a pressurized and changing environment.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with clear communication for collaboration and challenge.
  • Effective work management skills, including time and workload management, self-starting, planning, and productivity focus.
  • Delivery-focused, capable of independent and seamless execution.
  • PC literate, proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Access, and open to working in the EMEA shift.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:


  • AI tools = Alteryx, Tableau and U I Path knowledge would be an advantage
  • Strong technical skills, especially in Excel (VBA is a plus)
