Your New Role:
As a Financial Contract Solutions Reporting Developer, you will be responsible fordesign, development, and maintenance of reporting solutions for Participation, Residuals applications. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, high-performing solutions for reporting requirements of the payment systems. You will also play a key role in improving system efficiency, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring application reliability.
Your Role Accountabilities:
Application Development and Enhancements
Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex reports and dashboards in SAP Business Objects to meet evolving business requirements.
Provide expert consultation on reporting strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Develop comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials for Business Objects solutions.
Oversee the creation of Universes and data models to support flexible reporting solutions.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Legal, and Operations) to gather complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Guide and mentor junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices in report development.
Application Support
Monitor and maintain the health and performance of reports.
Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs, data inconsistencies, and system outages.
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative solutions to minimize recurring issues.
Test
Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and product managers to gather requirements and clarify technical specifications.
Collaborate with ETL teams and database administrators to define and maintain robust data integration processes.
Perform integration testing and debugging
Ensure adherence to data governance standards, security protocols, and compliance regulations.
Participate in sprint planning sessions, stand-ups, and team retrospectives to align development efforts with business priorities.
Deploy
Build, Configure and test continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
Review and analyze build and deployment logs
Monitor and troubleshoot deployment issues across all the environments
Learning & Improvement
Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve system efficiency and scalability.
Implement proof-of-concept (PoC) projects to evaluate potential system upgrades.
Attend in-person/online-trainings/conferences to improve skills
Conduct training sessions for end-users and team members to maximize adoption and usability.
Qualifications & Experiences:
4-8 years of experienceSAP Business Objects development, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Universe Design.
3-5 years of hands-on implementation or operational experience with Participation, Residuals and/or Music Royalty payments
Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis.
Strong experience with residuals systems, financial data reporting, or payroll processes.
Strong Hands-on experience with relational databases (DB2, Oracle) and writing SQL queries
Expertise in data warehouse concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
Knowledge of cloud-based BI and reporting solutions.
Relevant certifications, such as SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP BusinessObjects.
Exceptional analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Proven ability to lead projects, mentor junior team members, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Expert user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to prepare all documents, presentations, graphs, briefings, and worksheets
Excellent written and verbal communication
Work collaboratively w/small teams
Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently
