Job Summary
• This role is responsible for providing system operational stability and integrity of the Financial Close. The role is owner of Finance applications, which entitles to provide ongoing maintenance, resolve incidents within Service Level Agreements, establish and execute the right controls to be in compliance and avoid risks to the company. The role leads the team through the Month-End Closes ensuring HP Financials are posted accurately and on time. The role defines and tracks IT goals & targets during the annual IT budgeting process and provides technical thought leadership in developing IT Solutions. The role sets the KPIs, goals & vision for the team, and manages the overall performance management of the IT Solutions team.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for system operation stability for Finance application, business engagement influencing senior level management on overall technology strategies and long-range technology roadmaps and portfolios.
• Responsible for ensuring Financials for HP are posted accurately and on time. Resolves complex technical issues that arise in Production systems and serves as the absolute point of technical resolution for responsible assets.
• Responsible to ensure good system performance, certification and integration of software packages and support large system integrations.
• Ensures team meets relevant IT metrics and commitments per IT business goals and objectives.
• Drives effective management of system incidents impacting Finance; ensures issue identification and prioritization and escalation management.
• Applies mastery level subject matter knowledge and multiple resourcing strategies to manage staff activities in solving complex technical issues.
• Drives workforce plans, performance planning and review as well as talent management with emphasis on development of advanced technical skills and capabilities.
• Exerts influence horizontally and vertically in the organization; demonstrates business acumen and applies it for effective business engagement with customers and third parties.
• Drives change management beyond the immediate team and for the business unit; takes ownership of the IT strategy.
• Understands, articulates, and optimizes application and technical capabilities for use by multiple IT constituents.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in computer programming languages, testing tools, or a related field.
