JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Financial Controller, India
Reporting To: Finance Director, APMEA
Location: Bangalore
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting and controllership activities for India region, reporting to the Finance Director, APMEA. The incumbent will be supported by a small finance team. The main duties include:
- Day to day finance activities & monthly closing with a tight deadline,
- Support AR collection and customers credit,
- Treasury & expatriate cash back to head office,
- Effective internal control & maintenance of control documentation,
- Communicate and reinforce corporate policies and procedures,
- Identify control issues and implement corrective actions,
- Compliance with local statutory, direct & indirect tax requirements,
- Ensure compliance with FCPA and other anti-corruption regulations,
- Interface with external and internal auditors to ensure all audits and filings are carried out properly,
- Business experience and ease to partner with business team to support the growth of India region,
- Provide financial support for 3 business segments – Commercial Sales team, Manufacturing Operation & Shared Services Processing,
- Margin modelling, financial analysis and advice,
- Help improve overall group performance through presenting accurate and timely financial records and comparison of benchmarks and KPIs,
- Staff development and maintain a stable finance team
Personal Specification
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting and reporting experience, with 3-5 years of experience as Financial Controller in a manufacturing and trading environment,
- India Chartered Accountant preferably with big 4 audit experience,
- Comfortable working with US GAAP in an international company,
- Financial ERP systems and management reporting tools,
- Service, contracting, and manufacturing experience is preferable,
- Sound knowledge of India statutory and tax legislation
