QUALIFICATIONS
- Chartered Accountant with 0-2 years (post-qualification)
- Accounting and reconciliation experience in a reputed MNC or an accounting firm is desirable
- Prior experience of State tax compliance will be an added advantage
- Excellent communication skills

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will work with the Corporate Tax Team in our Gurgaon office. The team oversees the preparation of the firm’s corporate tax returns in all the countries where it operates, together with the preparation of the statutory financial statements for the operations in those countries. The team also manages the corporate tax position, including our transfer pricing arrangements, and coordinates the responses to corporate tax audits.
This is an internal, non-client facing role to work in the US tax function comprising of 5-6 team members, which is part of Corporate Tax Team. You may also work with the non-US tax team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the foreign tax credits and other information.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
We are looking for a person with extremely strong accounting, computer and communication skills who can work on the US tax project with limited supervision. There is a possibility for the role to expand over time. You will be responsible for executing the various processes for the compilation of global financial results for the consolidated tax filing in the US.
Your duties will include preparing the business apportionment factors for multi-state tax filing in the US and reconciling these factors with the tax books. Additionally, you will prepare and respond to state tax notices, as well as handle other state tax tasks such as tax projections, estimated tax payments, and extension filings for various states and cities.
In this role, you will provide information for state tax audits and assessments, and correspond with state tax auditors and advisors to facilitate the completion of field audits or tax return preparations. You will also maintain communication with office finance to gather information required in the tax accounting process. Your responsibilities will include preparing General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations, maintaining the Fixed Asset register, and preparing and processing final journals for the US tax books.
Documentation of the processes followed and the work performed will be a critical part of your role. Additionally, you will be assigned other tax accounting-related tasks as needed, requiring flexibility and adaptability to manage various responsibilities effectively.
