The Fin Solutions Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual. Overall objective of this function is User acceptance testing, ensure all change management processes are followed and support production go-live.
Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:
- Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations
- Assists in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance
- Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes
- Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
- Resolves complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines or processes.
- Manages one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and considered analytical or procedural "expert" representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.
- May supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Understand Business Requirement for changes in the Operational processes / Software functionality
- Write test plan, cases and scripts based on requirements documents working closely with Requirements Delivery team and FRD team.
- Perform product certification to user acceptance testing through execution of agreed test plan and scripts which will require a strong emphasis on logical and analytical skills coupled with strong technical acumen.
- It is expected that the person have good knowledge about Software Development Life cycle in the area of Change Management for Risk Management, Data Warehousing and Financial ledger platform.
- Should have working experience of Risk Management application and understand role of Risk Management in banking domain.
- Work closely with Technology UAT support team in setting up UAT test environment.
- Write test plan, cases and scripts based on requirements documents working closely with Requirements Delivery team and FRD team.
- Manage UAT activities including necessary documentation and required communications, testing status, and operational readiness.
- Manage defect entry activities and work with development team to assist in defect resolution as needed.
- Attend regular calls to address any data needs, test planning, and test execution.
- Participate in implementation of best practices and process improvements.
- Coordinate with technology and business stakeholders and manage required test status related communications to Project Management office and to the Requirements delivery support team.
Experience
- Complete understanding of Financial data processing, IT processes for Change Management, Data and Platforms.
- Able to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.
- Complete understanding of financial products and services.
- At least 10 years of experience in financial products and services.
- Knowledge of UAT testing cycles and coordinating with the Business and technology groups.
- Managing different stakeholders and driving timely delivery.
- Worked on Financial Systems in technology and a functional role.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred
- Excellent relational and communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Masters in Finance (Desirable)
Certification
- ISTQB , CSM, PSM desirable
