Boeing Test and Evaluation team is currently looking for an Experienced Project Specialist to join their team in Bengaluru, KA. Test & Evaluation engineers at Boeing make sure that products at the world’s largest aerospace company continue to meet the highest standards. From quality and reliability, to safety and performance, their expertise is vital to the concept, design and certifications of a wide variety of commercial and military systems.

Position Responsibilities:

This is a Project Management (PM) role that requires management of diverse projects like software development, analytics, dashboards and lab automation. This role develops project plans and deliverables, directs all project phases and acts as primary contact to project stakeholders. Participates in or develops mechanisms for establishing, monitoring and integrating project elements, product configuration and communications concerning change management processes and decisions. Performs project management activities in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], Agile, and ISO-standards). Coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project and team, finance, planning, scheduling and line management. Uses trend, variance analyses and risk assessments and mitigations to develop plans or to recommend change. Negotiates project changes and incorporates changes into project control systems to maintain work statements, cost and schedule baselines. Transitions projects to customer for on-going support. Performs project close-out and documents lessons learned.

This position requires close co-ordination with multiple project teams in the department. Teams operate in a mix of working modes, Agile and waterfall, depending on the type of project. The project manager is expected to conduct the scrum rituals (daily standup, sprint planning, grooming, retrospective, etc) as per Agile best practices. PM is also required to prepare the recurrent reports (daily/ weekly/ monthly) as per project requirements. PM works closely with the quality function to capture and monitor the project metrics, perform analysis in case of deviations, suggest process changes if required. PM works closely with the project leads to regularly track the risks and associated actions.

The candidate shall be a self-starter with strong ability to find solutions to problems independently.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
• 8+ year of experience in Project Management role, preferably managing a variety of software/ hardware/ testing projects
• Expertise on Agile tools like TFS (AzureDevOps) and /or JIRA
• Proven experience in managing multi-national scrum teams across various time zones
• Hands on experience in using MS Project
• Proficiency in MS Office tools for efficient and effective reporting
• Experience in handling multiple project teams at a time
• Experience in all areas of project management starting from planning to project closeout
• Experience in defining project metrics, establishing framework to capture the metrics, systematic analysis and corrective actions for deviations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary as this role requires daily communication with multiple team and overseas stakeholders
• Excellent working knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Knowledge of any of the standards like AS9100/ CMMi would be an added advantage as this position has a strong focus on process
• Curiosity to learn new things is desirable as the projects are of diverse nature and high learnability would contribute to the candidate's growth in terms of versatility

Typical Education & Experience:

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 to 12 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master 8 to 11 years' related work experience.
