Key responsibilities
Unloading
Before starting the unloading the operations check the safety parameters i.e wooden chokes, do the unlashing properly, lifting gears are ok, and appropriate as per the cargo weight, etc.
Follow the unloading SOP of particular cargo
Any unsafe conditions, use the SWA process
Unloading of trucks from plant and stack them properly with location bay marking system
Tally the quantity and quality of product of cargo as per the stock transfer invoice
Any visual damages or quantity/quality mismatch should be immediately reported with photographic evidence to the team lead and reporting manager respectively
Mention the quantity/quality and visual damages on the transporter LR copies
Fill the unloading slip with proper remarks and location as per bay plan
Loading
Before starting the loading activity, the below checkpoints to be complied
Truck loading capacity is not less than the loading plan
Pre saddling of dunnage as per centre of gravity
Trailer bed clean and without any damages
Identify the cargo as per loading slip
Deploy appropriate equipment as per the cargo
Make sure the loading unloading equipment complied all NO-GO items
Complete the loading and then move the truck to the nearest lashing point
Fill the loading slip with all appropriate remarks i.e, PU Saddles, wooden dunnage, etc.
Report Hazard and other interactions
To ensure work done by contractor is followed as per work SOP.
Use SWA in case of unsafe activity
To comply with all the standards related to Health, Safety and Environment system as per DP World standards
Work as a team for attainment of common objectives.
Ensure self-quality control of activities performed.
