Executive-Order Desk


Location: Pune

Responsibilities


  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Customer orders and enquiries are processed accurately and timely to meet or exceed our customer expectation.
  • Contribute to the entire order to delivery process with other supply chain functions such as warehouse and materials management teams to ensure goods are delivered to our customer on schedule.
  • Follow common systems and processes for order processing based on Sandvik guidelines.
  • Maintain the ERP system to ensure data integrity & Manage item master harmonisation errors - DS into Aurora.
  • Provide feedback for outstanding sales orders to customers, follow up outstanding quotes.
  • Provide marketing support to the Product Area aftermarket operations. Assist with GAP analysis, provide sales analysis, delivery analysis, forecasting, collect and process feedback from the market to the relevant aftermarket operations and assist with budgeting.
  • Interaction with order desk of subsidiaries team / technical support team as and when required.
  • Identify and follow up on opportunities to convert to sales
  • Pro-active backorder management.
  • Liaise with Logistics and  Inventory Controllers to ensure appropriate stock levels and stocked items
  • Expedite customer orders and actions from backlog reports
  • Initiate proactive calls to understand fleet status and concerns and opportunities
  • Escalates criticality 1 orders/ enquires  to the regional Machine Emergency Response Team (MERT)  or outbound planner/ regional planner where MERT is not implemented and PU order desk, keeping customer informed of progress.
  • Maintain working knowledge of products and their functions for their respective customer groups.
  • Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Sandvik’s core values and current policies and procedures
  • Identify new delivery sequences & info - send to data stewards
  • identify new leads & delivery sequences and coordinate updated systems information.
  • General system and process administration including data error management

Required Skills and Education


  • Graduate / Post Graduate (Preferably Business Administration / Commerce/ Foreign Trade)
  • 2-3 years’ experience in customer order desk function.
  • Experience to work on ERP maintenance as an independent individual for item master creation, costing, customer master / delivery address creation.
  • Familiar with Price list creation, Customer based pricing environment, order punching / order acknowledgement, despatch instructions.
  • Knowledge about GST applicable rates and types.
  • To be able to create and float Daily / Weekly / Monthly Sales MIS for self-handling customers.
  • Knowledge about service types / service billing.
  • Willing to work on Flexi off structure and weekend / after office hours support for our aftermarket contracts.
  • Good Verbal and Written communication skills English / Hindi and one local language.  
  • Candidate to posses’ basic knowledge about finance functions like AP/AR/ Treasury and various bank docs like BG /LC and Local as well international INCOTERMS.
  • Ability to co-ordinate within team (Good Team player), Ability to co-ordinate with customers, dealers , Inter-department cross functional teams like Finance / Exim / Warehousing and Logistics.
