Job Title


Executive Field Engg.



Field Engineer must have a sound knowledge of elevator/ escalator systems, products. The position entails adjustment, testing, performance testing, trouble shooting, and audit of elevator and escalator system / subparts.


Primary responsibilities:


  • Testing, Inspection of elevator systems
  • Trouble shooting and RRCA of electrical / mechanical fault
  • Survey, Safety audit of elevator
  • Investigation and RRCA of accident, property loss
  • Coordinate to Regional training dept.
  • Training and knowledge sharing
  • Record training efficacy and guide training officer
  • Training module development
  • Analytical survey of call backs, material consumption, labour hours, resources utilized
  • Field audits, Safety audits, FPA audits
  • Working with other team members in identifying root cause
  • Computer knowledge

Key Skills:


Analytical Skills:  field Engineer needs to able investigate any problem and able to find out Route cause. He should able to guide team and region with proper solution, corrective action and preventive action. Communication: Field Engineer should have good communication skill by which he can understand problem of field clearly and can effectively give solution. Good Communication can help in providing training effectively.

The incumbent should have the knowledge/expertise in the following:


•             Trouble shooting in various OTIS products


•             Conducting Zonal CRC meetings


•             Analyzing zonal CPUA and suggest corrective measures


•             Conducting Field Trials


•             Technical assistance & Implementation of PUI


•             Planning & execution of quality checks


•             To co-ordinate with auditors for quality check programs.
