Overall Responsibilities:
As an Excel Wizard, you will be responsible for leveraging advanced Excel skills to support various business functions and enhance data analysis capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand technology requirements and design solutions that meet business needs. Your role will involve creating technical specifications, ensuring data integrity, and providing technical support.
Technical Skills:
Core Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, and macros.
- Strong understanding of other technology platforms such as mobile, cloud, IoT, and blockchain.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js is a plus.
- Experience with data analysis and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong technical skills in managing and analyzing large datasets.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence, with a focus on Excel.
- Experience with software development methodologies and tools such as Agile, Scrum, Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and participating in code reviews.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and project planning sessions to align on objectives and deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design data solutions.
- Write, test, and deploy Excel-based solutions, including complex models and reports.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality and maintainability of Excel solutions.
- Stay current with the latest technology trends and advancements, suggesting ways to incorporate them into existing processes.
- Provide technical support to team members, assisting in the resolution of Excel-related issues.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex data challenges.
- Adaptability to new technologies and changing requirements.
- Good time management and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
