The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed quotations and BOQs with a strong focus on efficiency and precision. This role demands a thorough understanding of material costs, logical estimation processes, and quick turnaround capabilities.
Estimation & BOQ Creation:
Prepare precise and detailed estimations for commercial modular and loose furniture projects.
Generate comprehensive BOQs based on client requirements and technical specifications.
Ensure all estimations are accurate and delivered within tight deadlines.
Material Pricing Expertise:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the costs of raw materials such as plywood, laminates, veneers, furnishings, and hardware and li
Develop and manage a database of material pricing for quick reference during the estimation process.
Process Development:
Establish clear SOPs for the sales team to gather essential inputs for first-level quotation preparation.
Create practical thumb rules and benchmarks to speed up estimation and BOQ generation without compromising accuracy.
Problem Solving & Resourcefulness:
Address and resolve any gaps in cost data by identifying alternative solutions or sourcing missing information.
Proactively manage challenges, ensuring that estimations are delivered on time and aligned with project needs.
Technical Proficiency:
Use MS Excel and other relevant tools to create detailed estimations, cost breakdowns, and BOQs.
Develop standardized templates for consistent and professional documentation.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales and design teams and Sales team to understand project briefs and ensure alignment of quotations with client expectations. If there are missing pieces of information the same should be communicated asap to sales team member and come our with solution to mitigate missing information
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimation, preferably within the modular and loose furniture industry.
Deep understanding of material costing, including plywood, laminates, upholstery, and other commercial furniture components.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data management, calculations, and report generation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Logical and detail-oriented mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills.
