Role Overview:
As an Engineering Team Lead, you will lead a cross-functional scrum team consisting of Java Developers, QA Automation Engineers, and Scrum Masters. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality solutions for our mission-critical payments backend system while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
What you will do:
Lead, mentor, and manage a scrum team to ensure successful delivery of projects aligned with business goals.
Design, develop, and oversee the maintenance of the core payments backend solution using Java Spring Framework and MySQL.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to prioritize work, identify technical solutions, and address challenges effectively.
Ensure the team follows Agile principles and delivers high-quality code by promoting best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.
Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud technologies to optimize system performance and scalability.
Provide technical and career guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Who you are:
Proven experience as a technical lead or team lead in an Agile/Scrum environment.
A strong background in software engineering with advanced Java programming skills and knowledge of the Spring Framework.
Experienced in mentoring and supporting team members to grow both technically and professionally.
Skilled at breaking down complex problems, managing priorities, and delivering innovative solutions.
Solid experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
Familiar with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL) and comfortable in Linux/UNIX server environments.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
