LSEG delivers truly world-changing insight based on rich content sources. Within this insight lies our Custom Solution & Alternatives (“CS&A”) technology group, which creates custom indices and solutions across multiple asset classes and across global jurisdictions.
 


Working closely with business proposition leaders, product managers, architects, and other software development teams, this is an excellent opportunity for a Engineering Manager/Team Lead. You will lead a team that supports an application responsbile for highly visiable custom indices with high profile clients.


Responsibilities:


·       Manage a team of developers to implement, test and deliver project requirements for Custom Solutions & Alternatives (“CS&A”) technology group.


·Work with product teams and other development teams to produce high level system designs.


·Participate in all parts of software lifecycle: design, development, testing and deployment.


·Analyze production problems & provide problem solving & support.


·Work with upstream and downstream development teams to implement functionality.


·Work with QA teams to design test cases and to implement automated test drivers.


·Promote a culture of teamwork, high performance and quality via code reviews, ensuring standards and best practices are followed via agile methodologies.
 


Qualifications:


·2-5+ years experience in Java, C#/.NET or C++ programming


·4-5+ years experience in leading and forming software engineering teams capable of delivering value to stakeholders on time while adhering to high software engineering standards.


·Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills that allow to work with a diverse set of individual contributors.


·Ability to work independently and to work with remote teams.


·Able to manage Scrum Meetings that necessitate working in an Agile SDLC and deliver on short timelines.


·Responsible for delivering enterprise level components used in applications that interact with real-time data, APIs and databases.


·Nice to have: Experience in Cloud systems migration/maintenance, Microservice Framework and regulated products a plus.


Nice-to-haves


· Financial markets/banking experience and/or experience dealing with regulated products.


· Experience migrating on-prem infrastructure to cloud and ability to assist junior members in development team learn cloud technologies or microservice framework.


· Experience with designing and architecting solutions in Cloud environments.


· Strong understanding of security and compliance managements.


· Very good understanding of Devops and SRE skills.
