Job Summary
Are you an Engineering Leader with a passion for developing products to help our customers and business succeed? Join our team as an Engineering Manager for the Product Engineering team. You will lead a dynamic global team of over 20 engineers across India and China, delivering new product options for our customers, drive continuous product improvement to our products (through CPI) and optimize product cost through material cost reduction.
The Product Engineering team is integral to the REPS Engineering team, and optimises our global products for our customers and business.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a global team of over 20 engineers.
• Lead the design of new solutions for our FGW and Caterpillar customers through the Design to Order (DTO) process, enabling multi-million $ of sales. Collaborate closely with Product and Sales teams to ensure success.
• Deliver product improvements to enhance reliability (2MIS/12MIS) through CPI
• Lead the REPS Material Cost Reduction (MCR) plan, and deliver multi-million $ savings through large scale MCR projects, throughout the global teams.
• Delivers large scale product updates for existing products
• Drive continuous process improvements throughout the value streams (DTO, MCR, CPI)
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages knowledge sharing and best practices across the global team.

Top Candidates Will Have
• A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Previous supervisory experience and/or project leadership experience.
• Excellent knowledge of product design/development and NPI processes.
• Strong communication, emotional intelligence, listening, and collaboration skills.
• A self-starter attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Six Sigma/Lean experience (preferred).
Additional Information
This mid-level leadership role involves managing product design and development for electric power gensets/energy solutions ranging from 20-2500 kVA under the Caterpillar and FGW brands. You will collaborate with various departments and work closely with our operations facilities in the US, Brazil, China, and India.
