Role & responsibilities:
• As an engineering manager, you will drive product and engineering impact by delivering value end to end and improving engineering efficiency in measurable ways.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-impact projects with speed and quality.
• Foster a positive and productive team culture, focusing on employee engagement, talent growth, and retention.
• Act as an area expert, providing technical leadership on design, architecture, and incident resolution.
• Drive end-to-end product and engineering impact by improving engineering efficiency and developer engagement.
• Actively code, review code, develop tools, and create telemetry to improve productivity and product quality.
• Guide teams in ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and accessibility standards.
• Break down long-term project visions into actionable plans, ensuring alignment with shifting business goals.
• Oversee team resourcing, prioritize work towards impact, and optimize efficiency.
• Continuously improve team productivity through investments in technology, process, and delivery practices.
• Work effectively with product managers, designers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless project outcomes.
• Manage communication and collaboration across teams, negotiate dependencies, and promptly resolve conflicts.
Candidate requirements:
• 12+ years of technical engineering experience in designing and developing large-scale, high-volume services, service-oriented architectures, and cloud-based systems, including coding in C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 3+ years of experience in people management
• Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in software design and development.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and manage junior engineers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to inspire and align teams towards a vision.
• B-Tech/BE/Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field from a globally ranked engineering institute.
• Expertise with anyone cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
