Engineering Manager

Location: Bengaluru

What this job involves:

As a Senior Engineering Manager at JLL, you will lead with a vision, shaping a brighter way for our clients and teams, while empowering each member to thrive. You will harness your expertise to drive successful engineering initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Your role will be crucial in guiding multiple cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. You will push the boundaries of what’s possible by embracing cutting-edge technologies and solutions, supporting both the smooth operation and advancement of our engineering functions, as well as championing inclusivity and a sense of belonging throughout your team.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Oversee engineering projects from planning through execution, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product management and other departments to define engineering priorities and align with business objectives.
• Drive innovation by implementing cutting-edge technologies and solutions that improve operational efficiency.
• Establish and nurture a culture of open communication and continuous improvement within the team.
• Optimize engineering processes and workflows for increased productivity and effectiveness.
• Monitor and manage engineering budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, electrical or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on collaboration.
• Deep understanding of engineering methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with budget management and resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in the commercial real estate industry or a related field.
• Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies.
• A passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Prior experience in a global or multicultural work environment.
• Proven ability to foster team wellbeing and champion a culture of inclusivity and belonging.
• Strong track record of driving career development within your teams.
