The Role
As an Engineering Manager with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….
- We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering Manager with over 22 years in the oil and gas, refinery, chemical, or petrochemical industries. This senior role requires a proven leader with extensive technical expertise and a track record of managing engineering teams and complex projects to successful completion.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering department. Oversee engineering teams across multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with project goals.
- Manage the engineering aspects of projects from concept through execution, including design, development, and implementation. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Offer advanced technical guidance and problem-solving for complex engineering issues. Stay current with industry trends and advancements to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
- Develop and manage engineering budgets. Allocate resources effectively and monitor financial performance to ensure cost control and efficiency.
- Act as the primary liaison between engineering teams and project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Facilitate clear communication and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure all engineering activities adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements. Promote a strong safety culture within the team.
- Oversee the quality of engineering deliverables, including designs, specifications, and documentation. Implement and enforce quality control processes and standards.
- Identify and assess potential engineering risks. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address and resolve issues effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or related field). A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 22 years of experience in engineering management within the oil & gas, refinery, chemical, or petrochemical industries. Demonstrated success in leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
- Extensive technical knowledge and experience relevant to oil & gas, refinery, chemical, or petrochemical processes.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proven track record of project management, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in engineering management software and tools.
