The Engineering Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to implement Python based machine learning models.
- Design, build and maintain scalable, reliable and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform and store large volumes of data
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, cost and scalability
- Implement incremental and near-real time data processing
- Develop and manage database architectures on Oracle
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines to be able to deploy frequently
- Implement data validation, cleansing strategies
- Work closely with senior analysts, product owners to understand data requirements
- Partner with other engineers within team and across teams for effective data integration
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices and coding standards
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in data processing workflows
- Build interactive data-driven web applications using React/Angular
- Develop custom dashboards using Tableau or equivalent
- Implement logging, monitoring and alerting mechanisms
- Optimize SQL queries and data ingest jobs
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering role with Python, ETL, SQL and Java script.
- Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
- Project Management experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
- Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
