Job Description SummaryEngineer -
Performance/Simulation/Application – Electrification + Energy Solutions
To direct and participate in the concept and design of complex electrical engineering modelling and simulation projects for Electrification + Energy Solutions (E+ES) application and in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, serviceability at the most affordable cost.
Performance/Simulation/Application Engineer with experience in modelling, simulation and validation of Electrical systems such as Invertors, Converters, Transformers etc. The role will be responsible for Simulation for E+ES systems and components working with a global team. A strong understanding of Power systems fundamentals and operations is required.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:• Determining detailed functional requirements for E+ES and Components and implement the same in Simulation environment to evaluate technical characteristics
• Understand the electrical schematics, electronic architecture and overall goal of testing.
• Set up applications on the HIL based on the project needs - design HIL harnesses and co-ordinate the harness builds.
• Execute test cases and correlate them with the overall Design Verification Plans (DVP's).
• Review the test results with the internal process partners.
• Actively participate in Built In Quality (BIQ) & feature review meetings.
• Automate the test cases as necessary.
• Be a champion for Quality.
• Work with the peer test engineers to standardize and benchmark validation best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors or Masters in
Mechatronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• At least 6 years hands on experience in dSPACE/Opal-RT or similar HIL hardware & software tools.
• At least 6 years hands on experience with calibration tools like Vector Canape/Canalyzer, ATI Vision etc.,
• At least 4 years programming experience in either Python or C/C++
• Experience in MathWorks Simulink
• Hands on experience on dSPACE Automation Desk
• Version control tools like GIT/GIT Hub, SVN, etc.,
• Azure DevOps or other Work Flow Management Tools

• Strong project management skills – Developing, maintaining and executing to a project management plan. Ability to develop & leverage a global network of engineering resources.

Solve challenging engineering problems involving products, systems, and components using advanced simulation techniques and analysis.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with customers and leadership to scope and execute projects that meet the needs of the business
• Accountable for delivering timely, high-quality simulation and analysis impacting products/processes and providing clear recommendations to stakeholders
• Partner with design, manufacturing, supply chain and test to robustly deliver new products and improve validation processes
• Keep up-to-date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement to established techniques
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
