What will you do
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for performing the on-site installation, servicing, and repair of sophisticated equipment and systems. As an Engineer II, you will play a vital role in ensuring the flawless operation of our world-class technology. You will investigate and approve the operational quality of system equipment, and teach customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. How will you get here?
This position is ideal for an experienced service engineer wanting to be involved with a dynamic team and exposed to a constant variety of customer application areas. While a university degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in electronic system problem solving is preferred, we understand that equivalent experience can also be valuable. If you have no experience in a field services role but have exposure with Electron Microscopy tools, you are encouraged to apply. Additionally, if you have approximately 3-5 years of hands-on technical experience installing, solving problems, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated analysis tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB, or similar systems, you are also a great fit for this role. Experience solving and repairing ultra-high vacuum and high voltage systems is highly desired as well as experience working in a wafer fabrication plant.
At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we offer competitive remuneration, an annual incentive plan bonus scheme, healthcare benefits, a company pension, and a range of employee benefits. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work with an innovative, forward-thinking organization that values integrity, intensity, involvement, and innovation. We are committed to supporting your career growth and development, providing you with outstanding prospects for advancement.
