Electrical Principal EngineerOur Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards.Join us as a Signal Integrity Engineer on our Signal Integrity team in Bengaluru to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you’ll achieveAs a Signal Integrity Engineer], you will be responsible for driving innovation in the field of Signal Integrity pushing the boundaries of next-generation high-speed signaling. The team members are accomplished industry experts with multiple patents and publications. The SI team focuses on innovative solutions around portfolio-wide transmission line challenges in the design and support of enterprise server platform development. You will work with Dell internal engineering teams and lead ODMs on DELL Core Power Edge Server and AI Server or Storage products.You will:Work with key silicon and passive component suppliers to obtain information, documentation and models required to enable simulation of assigned interfaces and technologies.Develop, test and validate simulation models to ensure the accuracy of simulation results through correlation studies.Perform analysis of electrical designs and simulate viable routing, material, and interconnect solutions to define a "solution space" and develop design constraints for new high speed interfaces.Devise optimized simulation strategies necessary to characterize worst-case system conditions for high-volume manufacturing and environmental variations.Work with Electrical Engineers, PCB Layout and other Simulation Engineers to develop and ensure appropriate delivery and compliance of recommended layout design constraints.Take the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:Essential Requirements8-12 years of experience in Signal Integrity tools and applications of 2D, 3D, and Power Integrity simulation tools.Experience in advanced testing, validation, and measurement equipment for Signal Integrity tasks on PCIe, Intel UPI, AMD or XGMI, and DDR memory.Understanding and knowledge of transmission line theory and electromagnetic field theory and fundamentals of computer architecture and systems and practical experience of working on Processor system designs.Experience and knowledge in analog and digital circuit theory and principles.Strong fundamentals in core areas: Microarchitecture, Computer Arithmetic, Circuit Design, Circuit theory and Process Technology.Experience in Negotiating with customers, and vendors regarding issues and ability to successfully persuade with solutions by documenting and understanding technical data sheets.Desirable RequirementsExperience in the development and integration of subsystems for PCIe, UCIe, DDR/LPDDR/HBM, EthernetB-Tech, M-Tech in EEE or Electrical engineering, Computer or Hardware Engineering is good to have.Who we areWe believe that each of us has the power to make an impact.
