Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 12-15 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering. The job involves review of Tender requirements, suggesting safe and efficient electrical systems in absence of client specifications, suggest optimizations, interface with client and their consultant for review and approval of design documents, sizing& layout of electrical equipment, Costing of electrical systems, supervision of site execution commissioning etc. Past experience *in Power Plant would be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:1.Cable Tray Routing:
oDesign and implement efficient cable tray routing solutions.
oEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
oCoordinate with other engineering disciplines to optimize routing paths.
2.Cable Length Calculation:
oAccurately calculate cable lengths required for various projects.
oUtilize software tools and manual methods for precise measurements.
oDocument calculations and provide clear communication to the procurement team.
3.LT & HT Panel Selection:
oSelect appropriate LT (Low Tension) and HT (High Tension) panels for different applications.
oConduct load analysis and ensure panels meet the necessary specifications.
oCollaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality and compliance.
4.Switchgear Knowledge:
oDemonstrate in-depth understanding of switchgear components and their applications.
oPerform regular inspections and maintenance of switchgear systems.
oTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to switchgear.
5.Sizing Calculation:
oConduct sizing calculations for cables, transformers, and other electrical components.
oEnsure all sizing is compliant with safety standards and regulations.
oProvide detailed reports and documentation of calculations.
6.Costing (Added Advantage):
oEstimate project costs and prepare budgets for electrical engineering components.
oTrack and manage expenses to stay within budgetary constraints.
oWork closely with the finance team to provide accurate financial projections.
7.General:
oCandidate should be aware about laws pertaining to Generation and distribution of electricity and Grid Code. Actual experience of getting Electrical Inspector approval for an installation would be an advantage.
oSound knowledge of Electrical protections, Relay coordination studies is required.
oShould have knowledge of sizing and selection of cables, Motors, Switch gears, Transformers, Battery and Battery systems, DC supply systems, metering systems, Bus ducts,
oShould be able to conceptualize electrical equipment layouts in close coordination with other discipline to achieve optimum cost.
Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software and other electrical design tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Experience with project management software.
- Certifications: Relevant professional certifications are advantageous.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
