Electrical Design Engineer

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for managing assigned projects and ensuring the successful implementation of electrical systems by collaborating with architects, service engineers, contractors, and team members. The role includes conducting site visits, evaluating existing electrical systems, and providing technical support throughout the construction process.

• Design and implement electrical systems, including panels, switchboards, elevators, transformers, and cable trays.
  
• Work on CCTV systems, access control systems, public address & general alarm systems, LAN, and telephone systems.
  
• Design and implement looping and control systems for automation projects.
  
• Prepare requirement documents/questionnaires for new projects and schedule meetings with architects, clients, and chief engineers to gather necessary information for design commencement.
  
• Develop electrical designs, including DBR (Design Basis Report), budgetary cost estimation, ELD (Electrical Load Distribution), EPL (Electrical Power Layout), equipment selection, MSLD (Main Single Line Diagram), shaft/cut openings, internal electrical layouts, SLD (Single Line Diagram), BOQ (Bill of Quantities), material list, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) coordination.
  
• Communicate and coordinate with other service consultants, contractors, and site engineers to update drawings, manage revisions, and ensure proper MEP coordination.
  
• Conduct periodic site visits to validate the execution of electrical designs and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  
• Provide properly coordinated MEP drawings to architects, resolving conflicts and clashes between architectural elements and MEP systems.
  

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design tools.
  

  
  

• Strong knowledge of electrical panels, switchboards, transformers, and ELV systems.
  

  
  

• Experience in automation systems and electrical controls.
  

  
  

• Ability to estimate costs, prepare BOQ, and select equipment for electrical projects.
  

  
  

• Excellent coordination and communication skills to interact with architects, contractors, and project teams.
  

  
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for design validation and issue resolution.
  

  
  

• Ability to conduct site visits and ensure design implementation.
