Job Description:

The EHS IT Reporting Analyst will work on PS & EHS reporting projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams with differences in language, culture, and time zones, to set up and support capable, client-focused reporting solutions. The 3M Product Stewardship and EHS Departments mission is to make sure 3M products comply with global regulations and to ensure the safety of its employees at manufacturing plants.  The current PS & EHS reporting portfolio includes: 
•    Crystal reports
•    Webi reports
•    Power BI reports

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and data sources to design effective reporting solutions
• Collaborate with the owning organizations (within or outside of PS & EHS) to acquire, clean and transform data for reporting purposes
• Develop detailed technical specifications based on business workflow requirements
• Provide complexity/effort estimates to enable planning activities
• Design and develop moderately complex reports using SAP Business Object and Microsoft Power BI tools
• Support maintenance activities involving report formatting, testing, scheduling and validation
• Develop test data and perform system tests. Document results of evaluations/tests and make recommendations for decisions
• Work on technical upgrades/migrations for existing reports
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and unusual scenarios
• Investigate alternative solutions or use of existing systems to meet business needs
• Anticipate, document, and manage the impact of changes to current reports
• Continuously evaluate processes, implement learnings, and apply best practices
• Document moderately complex technical flows and integration for team reference
