Key accountabilities and decision ownership
•Provide end-to-end design/engineering support for Compute includes data centre infrastructures, vSphere, ESXi path management and vulnerability management.
•Provide end to end Cisco UCS environment support - Fabric interconnects, Chassis, Blades, Service Profiles, Pools, SAN/LAN Port Channel, Firmware management
•Request and manage vendor support activities
•Resolve external customer’s technical issues and attend conference calls that have this in scope.
•Resolve reported incidents within service level agreements
•Provide input for planning, assessment and implementation, of change requests.
•Perform major upgrades and changes in core platform.
•On-board new customers on production environment through changes, testing and updates into inventory database.
•Managing technical service ramp-up (installation, configuration and coordination of setup tasks) for network platforms.
•Update, maintain and improve the knowledge and inventory database.
•VMware Backup and restoration solutions
•Patch Management and upgrade of vSphere Infrastructure.
•Responsible for Server Infrastructure setup and migration.
Advance knowledge in Virtualisation, Cisco UCS and vmware.
•Technical knowledge in Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution and other infrastructure core technologies – AD, DNS, DHCP, WSUS.
•Scripting/programming experience preferably on Python.
•Experience on the following tools: Remedy, Netcool, Palladion, vCenter, vRA, vRO, Anisble, and Science Logic.
•Good Oral and written communication skills.
