Distribution Technical Engineer - CAS

Summary: As a Distribution Technical Engineer (DTE), you will be a key contributor to the promotion and deployment of NXP products and solutions offerings in the Mass Market. You will work with our Distribution Partners leveraging the full NXP portfolio into their new designs, helping them with their top opportunities, and ensuring that they are always aware of the latest solutions and products from NXP. Perceived by Distribution/Partner and customer as their trusted technical partners.

You will be a member of the Customer Application and Technical Support team covering the SAPAC region and part of a worldwide technical community providing premium pre-and post-sales technical support to NXP customers and partners. We rely on you to deliver the NXP value message in a persuasive and accurate manner, to increase our market share.

Job responsibilities:

• Drive demand creation and conduct regular reviews of customers’ technical activities in close cooperation with the Distribution Business Manager and Distribution FAE to increase the design pipeline and drive “Must-Win” conversion.
• Understand the customer's hardware & software technical requirements and work to position NXP as a total solution in conjunction with the distributor's Field Application Engineers (DFAE) and Sales.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align technical support activities with business goals and ensure key delivers are provided on time to customers.
• Work with the NXP technical community to develop proof-of-concept demonstration of the NXP solution aligned with the customer requirements.
• Developing presentations & communicating NXP’s product roadmaps and technical product information to DFAE and customers.
• Building and maintaining an internal network in a Global team to be constantly updated on the latest products and solutions from NXP Semiconductors and being able to deliver the right messages to the distribution network and customers.
• Participate and support Distribution/Partner events (seminars, conferences, and meetings) to promote NXP products and solution offerings.
• Deliver technical training and product demonstration for DFAE and customers
• Build and nurture close customer relationships.

Job qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or relevant degrees from a reputable engineering institution.
• With 3 or more years of experience in motor control application for Industrial & IOT applications(Home Appliances)
• Deep understanding of Motor control algorithm to design close loop & motor tunning parameters for optimum performance.
• Agile learner with the ability to maintain technical expertise/competence with the ever-changing technology
• well-versed in industry trends, demonstrate adaptability to changing market conditions
• Hands-on experience with programming and debugging of a microcontroller/microprocessor device
• Ability for interdisciplinary problem-solving and handling complex technical subjects
• Strong interpersonal skills in multicultural environments.
• Team working attitude with key stakeholders within the company to achieve assigned targets.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills (English & Local language)
• Naturally structured and diligent, self-motivated
• Willing to travel in the assigned region and some potential for global travel required.
