Job Purpose


The Director of Zero Trust will lead the implementation and management of GSK's Zero Trust security framework. This role is critical in ensuring that our digital assets are protected through a strategic approach that assumes no entity inside or outside our network can be automatically trusted. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity, a deep understanding of Zero Trust principles, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to enhance GSK's security posture.


Your responsibilities include…
  • Lead the development and execute a comprehensive Zero Trust strategy aligned with GSK’s business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the continual design, implementation, and maintenance of Zero Trust architecture, including tightening of identity and access management, network segmentation, and continuous monitoring.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and business units to develop and champion the Zero Trust roadmap to senior stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain policies, standards, and procedures related to Zero Trust security.
  • Continually monitor and align GSK with industry best practices as the technology matures.
  • Oversee the integration of security technologies, such as multi-factor authentication, encryption, and endpoint detection and response.
  • Support incident response efforts and manage security incidents to minimize impact and ensure timely recovery.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the Zero Trust framework, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement through training and awareness programs.
Why you? 

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Total 18+ years of experience out of which A minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Zero Trust principles and frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-207).
  • Experience with identity and access management, network security, endpoint security, and cloud security.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a solid understanding of its technological trends.
  • Passionate about enhancing the customer experience.
  • Experienced in initiating and delivering large-scale operational programs.
  • Skilled in operating systems and database administration.
  • Proficient in agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experienced in the DevOps operational model.
